Behind the Lens
Mickie has loved photography since she was little. Later on in college, she took a photography class (during the days of film & darkroom), and was immediately captivated. After Mickie won multiple awards, she inspired her 12-year-old daughter to carry a 35 mm around nonstop. Years later Mickie's daughter inspired her to pick a camera back up after a life changing diagnosis & her daughter's photographic success.
Despite her daughter's signifigant health setbacks bonding through years over photography adventures spanning Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, Texas Hill Country, & Colorado.
Mickies "vitamin sea" helped her process & find solace in God's beautiful canvases. Mickie often captures beach waterscapes, landscapes flora, fauna, wildlife, & stunning sunrises & sunsets.
Mickie began mastering her DSLR about the same time she began offering beachside photography for weddings, events, milestones, & family portraits where her passion is explified in her photographic work.
Mickie credits loved ones and many inspirational photographer friends whom have helped her throughout her photography journey.
